Feature story on Abby Burns of Texas Woman’s University, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in January, 2011.

This has not been the 2011 that Texas Woman’s University head softball coach Richie Bruister had anticipated or planned for.

“It has been a preseason like no other for us,” Bruister said. “We came back with expectations of doing just the normal routine of starting preseason practice with conditioning and skill training and all the stuff that you do before school starts.
